Serena is a Certified Athletic Therapist and Registered Massage Therapist. After a childhood filled with a wide range of sports (hockey, swimming, track and field, etc) and dance, Serena attended York University and completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. After years of professional training with very little access to physical therapy, Serena became more aware of the great need for accessible body care for dancers. And so, she made the decision to enroll in York University’s Athletic Therapy program.

Serena has worked worked largely with collegiate and varsity athletes at York University and the University of Toronto, additionally working with youth and professional athletes. Credits include Team Canada Water Polo, the Canadian Football League, professional dancers/actors in the city, and the Greater Toronto Hockey League. In addition to loving high performance sport, as Serena spent more time in the clinic with her athletes, she became aware of her love for and increasing skill as a clinician. In 2021, she made the decision to attend massage therapy school and add a few more letters to her name! Serena loves the enhanced manual skills this training has provided her and is excited to have a wider offering for her clients so she can help as many people as possible.

Serena has always been of the mindset that every(body) is an athlete. After all, our bodies are designed for movement! So whether your goal is to walk to the mailbox at the end of your street, to win gold at the Olympics, or anything in between, she will provide you with the same care and attention needed to achieve YOUR goal. Serena is of the opinion that because everybody is unique, their treatment plans should reflect that. And if you’re just coming for a relaxing massage, she can do that too!

In the future, as a therapist and professional dancer, Serena hopes to build preventative programs for young dancers as they work towards a career in dance, to ensure longevity for their bodies and artistry. She hopes that the future of all sports can work towards a lense of prevention so that our bodies can continue perform for us later in life, and we can all continue to find that inner athlete.

Olivia had been curious about massage therapy since early childhood. Over the years, she has helped family and friends with their physically uncomfortable experiences by massaging different muscles throughout the body and, from that moment on, she had been interested in pursuing a career in massage therapy.

Olivia has completed the Massage Therapy program at Algonquin College. She is motivated to move forward in her career path by doing what she loves: helping people in ways that make both herself and others feel great.

Between adaptable and natural learning experiences, Olivia’s massage skills have only improved over time. Trigger point therapy, myofascial release, joint mobilizations, deep tissue massage, lymphatic drainage, and Swedish massage techniques are a few of the variety of treatments that Olivia provides in her care.

In her spare time, Olivia enjoys going on daily walks and engaging in stretching exercises to keep herself active and feel relaxed and refreshed by the end of each day. In the past, she has also participated in local badminton clubs to maintain both fitness and social activity.
